Chopped '32 Ford Flathead Aluminum Radiator: 25" High x 17" Wide | ![]() Ampco Top Cylinder Lubricator The Original! What is it? Top cylinder lubrication is the answer to your lubrication and performance problems. An Ampco top cylinder lubricator is designed and engineered to supply a constantly metered, finely dispersed vapor-spray of properly compounded lubricant to the upper cylinder section - the engine's heat/friction/wear zone. The Ampco oil vapor-mist is introduced on the intake stroke and distributed evenly to all cylinders to accomplish primary lubrication for maximum compression, improved performance and longer engine life. Ampco supplies instantaneous and constant auxiliary lubrication in the critical high heat and friction area before ignition occurs and during operation. Proven reliability for over 55 years. Why do you need it? The Environmental Protection Agency has removed 91% of the lead from gas. This means trouble for pre-1975 engines - automotive, marine, farm, truck or any engine designed to run on leaded fuel. Ampco top cylinder lubricators provide lubrication for the heat zone of an engine's cylinder walls, rings, valves, valve guides and seats. Also, today's fuel causes some detonation, or engine knock due to the lower octane of available fuel and the lack of high-test gas. This can be helped by high quality cylinder lubrication. Removing combustion residues - carbon, sludge, varnish and lead deposits - gives cleaner and more efficient burning of fuel- perfect for your Ford Flathead or vintage engine. Easy Installation: The unit comes as a complete ready-to-install kit, includes a 3-bolt injector plate for Stromberg 97/81/48 or Holley 94, universal nozzle, tubing, hardware, and instructions. We recommend the use of Marvel Mystery Oil for your upper cylinder lubricant. Made in America |
